Creatures of Habit: With Guests Wendy Wood, Angela Duckworth & Stephan Kesting

This episode of Choiceology with Katy Milkman takes a look at the power of habit in shaping our behavior β€” for the better and for the worse. This is a great first step into the world of habit formation.

HABITS: How to Let Go of The Old and Bring in the New

Why is it so hard to break bad habits and replace them with good ones? You may think it all comes down to willpower. But social psychologist Wendy Wood says that if you really want to change your life, then you need to tap into your unconscious mind. Wood, who’s just written a book called β€œGood Habits, Bad Habits,” chats with Next Big Idea Club curator and host of TED’s Work Life Podcast Adam Grant about harnessing the science of habit formation to make positive changes that last.

Creatures of Habit

In this episode of the Making Sense with Sam Harris podcast, Sam speaks with James Clear about habit formation. They discuss the difference between creating good habits and discontinuing bad ones, the role of the environment, the misalignment between immediate and long term outcomes, the remembering self vs the experiencing self, goals vs systems, the compounding of incremental gains, the role of attention, the four laws of behavior change, β€œtemptation bundling,” and other topics.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
