The Invisibility of Habit

In research estimates, fully 43% of everyday actions are habitual. This is surprising. In experience, most of our actions seem like choices we make, not responses driven by cues. In this talk, I will show how people overlook habit forces in their lives and then discuss the consequences for everyday self-change and self-control.
